From intuitive testing to a future-proof QA strategy

Tennis and Padel Vlaanderen saw the complexity of their digital platform increase rapidly. Testing was largely manual and heavily centralized with one person. “Almost all test cases were in my head,” says Joannes Delputte, Product Owner at Tennis and Padel Vlaanderen. “But as our platform grew, that simply became unmanageable.”

To bring more structure and scalability to their testing approach, the organization started looking for a partner. Through their CTO, Michael, they were introduced to Brightest. “After the first contact with Joke and the proposed approach, we immediately felt: this isn’t about selling something, but about genuinely helping us move forward.”

From analysis to concrete steps in QA and test automation

The collaboration started with a BrightScan, which immediately provided valuable insights and direction. “The BrightScan brought structure and confirmed several things we had already sensed,” says Joannes. “It gave us a clear roadmap to evolve towards higher test maturity.”

In addition to the scan, Brightest also provides coaching tailored to the team’s needs. “We schedule coaching sessions when we need them,” says Joannes. This flexible approach proves to be a major advantage. “It’s very practical: no heavy, long-term programs, just support at the right moment. That allows us to move forward step by step, at our own pace.”

In the meantime, the foundation has also been laid for the Brightest test automation framework. “Our first experiences are positive,” Joannes explains. “Although it’s currently on a lower priority due to other focuses, we clearly see its added value.”

For Tennis and Padel Vlaanderen, an additional benefit is that this evolution is closely aligned with new technologies. “Through Brightest, we also got to know the SQAI Suite. It’s a big advantage that Joke understands what it is and how it can help us. That way, it doesn’t remain a separate initiative, but truly becomes part of how we further develop our testing.”

A pragmatic collaboration that works

Beyond the content-driven approach, the collaboration itself is also highly valued. “Communication runs smoothly and we get quick answers to our questions,” says Joannes. “There’s little fluff. They immediately look at how we work and what works best for us.”

With a clear roadmap, targeted support, and the first steps in test automation, Tennis and Padel Vlaanderen now has a solid foundation to further professionalize their QA approach.
