During this period, we hold our annual career conversations—a chance to review individual growth, achievements, challenges, and aspirations. What does such a conversation look like?

The consultant reflects with their Bright People Coach (BPC) on their project(s) from the past year, their successes, and the skills that contributed to them. Naturally, there are always areas that prove more challenging—these too are discussed, along with the skills the consultant wishes to further develop.

Reflecting on both self and the organisation

As a consultant, the focus isn’t solely on personal performance but also on that of the organisation. What aspects of Brightest do you perceive as positive? Some might appreciate the freedom they’re given, the focus on quality, or the support from colleagues. Understanding what Brightest employees truly value helps us identify the elements we must preserve.

But there’s always room for improvement: What do consultants feel they still need? In what areas could they use more support? By reflecting together, planning for the future, and growing, we ensure that we continue to excel—not just individually but as an organisation: “Excel Together.”

What happens after the conversation?

A career conversation is only meaningful if it leads to action. Together, we define goals for the coming year and translate them into concrete steps. While the consultant takes ownership of their progress, we’re always looking for ways to provide support: “Empower People.”
